Blog: Research & More Research

I spent most of the night compiling a list of people associated with or part of the Northern Guard.  Its pretty disturbing to see how many people are involved with this group alone.  It discouraging also.  And, as I have discovered, is going to be very time consuming.  It may take me days to research even one of these people.  That does not mean I am giving up.  The contrary, I will work as hard as I can on this project.  

What I have discovered in just investigating one person, so far, is that there seems to be a lot of people associated that are blind to what these people actually believe.  Its either that or they simply do not care that these people are truly racist.  I'm approaching my investigating as objectively as I possibly can and its hard.  I am seeing that the people involved with groups like the Northern Guard are even blind to themselves, or maybe they are just lying to themselves.  

I've also found that there seems to be a lot of paranoia involved.  There are so many conspiracy theories that are fed to these people that they really must not know what the actual truth is anymore.  They seem to be incredibly dedicated to believing these idiotic theories.  It seems like they keep telling themselves that they are the good guys, that they are good people.  As if paying-it-forward in the Tim Horton's drive-thru somehow makes them good.  I've also noticed that they seem to think their opposition is both communist and fascist.  

Anyway, I just needed to reflect on the work I've started to undertake and felt I needed to share that.
